Graphics 1 - Continue work on the COFFEE CUP tutorial.  Do not give up, just think it through.  Help each other, but don't be loud or distracting.

Multimedia 1 - Define the TERMS in the handout.  They are due by the end of the hour.  Your CONCEPT, SCRIPT, STORYBOARD, & SHOTLIST can all be stapled together.  Use them to shoot your video.

Graphics 2 - Work on your WPA Posters.  If you finish, start on the FACIAL RETOUCH tutorial from my LISTING FOLDER.  Right-Click the link to save it to your desktop.  Right-Click again to open with ACROBAT 8.0.

Multimedia 2 - Your first video is due in my DROPBOX by the end of class TODAY.  Your second video is due WEDNESDAY.  Make sure you shoot footage this weekend.

Day 50 - Wednesday April 27, 2011

Day 49 - Concepts, Storyboards, & Presentations

Graphics 1 - The COFFEE CUP tutorial.  Follow the steps in the tutorial.  Photoshop behaves differently than ILLUSTRATOR.  Figure out the steps.

Multimedia 1 - NOTES TODAY.  Today I will go over notes for your QUIZ and FINAL.  Please take careful notes.  We will go over TERMS, CAMERA SHOTS, CAMERA ANGLES, and STORYBOARDING.


Graphics 2 - You will present your WPA POSTER progress in class and we will offer suggestions.

Multimedia 2 - Your concepts are due for the next 2 newscasts.  Your first video is due THURSDAY.

Day 48 - Monday 4.25.11

Graphics 1 - Today, I will go over using the ERASER, PAINT BUCKET, & GRADIENT tools.

Multimedia 1 - I will go over the SAMPLE SCRIPT in class.  Use the formatting to write your own script for you commercial.  1 page = 1 minute, so you are only writing roughly 1/2 a page.  FORMATTING is key.

Graphics 2 - WORKDAY: WPA Posters.

Multimedia 2 - 30 minute film presentations.  You have a News video DUE THURSDAY and your 2nd one DUE Wednesday.

Day 47 - Morning Announcements!!!

Graphics 1 - Today I will quiz you on the tools we have learned so far.  You are required to CROP, MAKE SELECTIONS, COPY/PASTE, CLONE/STAMP, COLOR REPLACE, and BRUSH.  We took a picture of a 2011 Phantom and manipulated it in PHOTOSHOP.  The end result was posted to your BLOG.

Multimedia 1 - By the end of class, you must turn in your CONCEPTS for the 30 SECOND COMMERCIAL.

Graphics 2 - Continue to work on your WPA poster.  Your VECTOR LOGO is due on your blog by the end of class.

Multimedia 2 - Today we will watch the ANNOUNCEMENTS and take notes on them.  Then we will begin presenting our 30 MINUTE FILM ANALYSIS.

 

Day 46 - Captain America

Graphics 1 - Today I will go over the HEALING TOOLS, CLONE/STAMP, and the Basics of the brush tool. 

Multimedia 1 - You will have the first 10 minutes of class to finish exporting your NEWSCASTs.  Then I will give you a HANDOUT for the 30 SECOND COMMERCIAL.  We will take a look at some commercials from the Superbowl.  Come up with a product FOR CLASS TOMORROW.

Graphics 2 - Make sure I am forwarded any EMAILS from your clients.  The logo is due on your blog by THURSDAY.  If you are done, start on your poster.

Multimedia 2 - Last chance to get ANNOUNCEMENTS done for THURSDAY.

Graphics 1 - Be sure to bring your PHOTOSHOP TOOLS handout.  Today, I will go over the Magic Wand & Thresholding.  Then we will move on to Modifying SELECTIONS; EXPAND, CONTRACT, BORDER, etc.

Multimedia 1 - Use Final Cut Pro to edit your NEWSCASTs.  Make sure you have 1 over the shoulder, 1 cutaway, text.  Export to your DESKTOP then drag to my DROPBOX.

Day 44 - Olympic Nordic Ski Team Visit

ASSEMBLY SCHEDULE

Graphics 1 - Today, I will give you a HANDOUT on Photoshop Tools.  Follow along as I go over the tools for PHOTOSHOP.  I will explain the difference between a RASTER and a VECTOR image.  I will also show you how to determine the resolution of an image on GOOGLE.

Multimedia 1 - Today, we will record your NEWSCASTS into iMovie.  Then import the footage into Final Cut Pro.  I will show you how to enter TEXT into your videos today.

Graphics 2 - Forward me any emails from your clients.  You must have the LOGO recreated in ILLUSTRATOR.  Post the logo to your blog.  Start on your WPA poster.

Multimedia 2 - Today we will begin our 30 minute film presentations.  Make sure you have your VIDEO PACKAGES ready for this THURSDAY.

Day 43 - SkillsUSA trip cancelled due to snow!

Graphics 1 - Your MOVIE POSTERs are DUE TODAY.  If you are not done, still post what you have on your blog.  In the subject line write "IN PROGRESS."  Of you are done, call it "MOVIE POSTER."

Multimedia 1 - Today I will go over the second part of FINAL CUT PRO basics.  I will go over the SELECTION tool and the RAZOR tool.  I will show you how to adjust the speed of a clip and how to overlay multiple clips using IMAGE/WIREFRAME.

Graphics 2 - Make sure you have turned in your WPA paper.  Any email contact between you and your client needs to be forwarded to me.  You can start working on your LOGO in Illustrator.

Multimedia 2 - Today you will have a quiz.  After the quiz you can work on any editing you need to do.  REMEMBER: You have Morning Announcement videos due Tuesday, so any filming you have to do is due MONDAY.

Day 42 - Final Cut, News Concepts, & 30 minute analysis.

Graphics 1 - WORKDAY: Movie poster is due THURSDAY.

Multimedia 1 - Today I will go over the basics of FINAL CUT PRO.  I will show you how to clear your Preferences.  Then, we will go over the basic interface: The Timeline, The Shelf, The Preview, & The Canvas.  We will practice importing media.

Graphics 2 - Today, I will go over the CLIENT EMAIL handout.  Make sure you do not put the bulk of your research on your client.  Research the questions yourself.  The few that you cannot answer can be included in your EMAIL.  Make sure you forward a copy of the email to me.  Your papers are DUE.

Multimedia 2 - Make sure to send your 3 minute video to my DROPBOX.  Today I will go over the worksheet for your 30 min DVD presentations.  If you need a camera for the weekend, you must check it out today.

Multimedia 2 - Today we will watch your 3 MIN VIDEOS.

Mr. Nanda's laptop crashed today, taking all of his prep stuff with it.  Boohoo.

Day 40 - Welcome Back!

Graphics 1 - Your MOVIE POSTERS are due Thursday.

Multimedia 1 - Your Photography Portfolio is due by the end of class today.  Tomorrow we move on to Final Cut Pro.

Graphics 2 - Today, I will go over the WPA poster style.  I will show you the Grand Foundation website, and you will work on your paper for your organization.

Multimedia 2 - We will come up with ideas for the next announcements on APRIL 21.  Edit your 3 minute videos.  We will also pick your TOP 3 Films for your next project.
